Senior Vice President
Ian has been with Global Captive Management Ltd for over 10 years, from 2013 to present and previously from 2009 to 2011. Ian held positions of Director of Tax at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Cayman Islands and Senior Manager with the KPMG Cayman Islands' United States Tax Practice. Ian is GCM’s business development leader and enjoys providing solutions requiring both strategic corporate and tax structuring solutions.
Ian graduated in 1997 from Saint Francis Xavier University, where he was an Academic All-Canadian (football) and Dean’s List recipient, with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He joined Arthur Andersen in Toronto, Canada, auditing financial and consumer products clients in addition to taxation of expatriates and cross board estate planning.
Ian relocated to Cayman Islands with KPMG in 2002 to begin his career in the captive insurance industry, providing a variety of services including tax advisory and compliance to offshore captives insurance companies.
Ian is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Public Accountant, and a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario.
Ian is a frequent speaker and author on various captive-related emerging issues, including structuring, operations, market trends, regulatory issues, and taxation. Ian also serves as a Director for a captive insurance company, providing medical malpractice coverage to an orthopedic physician practice in the United States. Ian proudly sits on the Cayman Captive Forum of the Insurance Managers Association of Cayman.
Outside of work, Ian dedicates his personal time to his wife of over 20 years and two wonderful daughters. He enjoys golf and hockey.
Fun Fact: Besides his 15 minutes of fame on House Hunters International, he had a hole in one in his first full year of playing golf! It’s been downhill ever since.
Senior Vice President
Jennifer joined the GCM team in the spring of 2004.
Originally from Canada, Jennifer graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2000. She is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, qualifying in 2002 and articling with KPMG with whom she transferred to Cayman in 2002. She has also attained the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. Jennifer specializes in group captives and heads up our Group Captive Team.
Jennifer is also currently part of the Executive of the Insurance Managers Association of Cayman in her role as Secretary.
In her spare time, she loves to travel and drink great wine.
Senior Vice President
Alanna joined Global Captive Management Ltd in September 2010.
Alanna was born in England and graduated from the University of Exeter in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science specializing in Mathematics with Accounting. She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, having qualified with Deloitte in 2007 with whom she transferred to Cayman in 2008. Alanna specializes in group captives and segregated portfolio companies.
Alanna is currently a member of the IMAC Forum Committee, which organizes the Cayman Captive Forum, the world’s largest captive insurance conference.
Outside of work, Alanna enjoys running and keeping fit and is a keen touch rugby player for the Global Captive Management team.
Assistant Vice President
Neil joined Global Captive Management Ltd in August 2013 as an Account Executive. He previously worked in corporate recovery and restructuring both in the UK and the Cayman Islands.
Originally from the UK, Neil graduated from Loughborough University in 2006 with an Honours degree in Accounting & Financial Management. Neil is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, having qualified in 2009.
Outside of work, Neil is a keen cricketer, having represented the Cayman Islands National Team in 2015 and 2017. Neil also enjoys a round of golf at the weekend!

Assistant Vice President
Carmela joined Global Captive Management Ltd as an Account Executive in July 2012, having worked with KPMG in the Cayman Islands initially as an Audit Senior and then as Assistant Manager in the Hedge Fund Group. Carmela has also worked in KPMG in Bermuda and New York as an Audit Senior in the Insurance Department where she gained valuable captive and insurance exposures.
Originally from the Philippines, Carmela graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and is a member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountant since 2002.
When not at work, Carmela is a keen tennis player.
Assistant Vice President
Charlene joined Global Captive Management Ltd as an Account Executive in May 2010, having worked at both PwC Jamaica and KPMG in the Cayman Islands.
Originally from Jamaica, Charlene graduated from the University of the West Indies with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Management Studies. She completed her ACCA examinations in 2004 and moved to the Cayman Islands in January 2009.
Outside of work, Charlene loves to read and completes a personal '52 Books, 52 Weeks' challenge each year. She also enjoys doing CrossFit and spending time with her husband. She volunteers her time at her church where she serves as the Assistant Director of the Audio Visual department. She is also the accountant for the Cayman Food Bank, Grand Cayman’s sole centralized food bank.
Senior Operations & Account Executive
Felisa joined Global Captive Management Ltd in August 2005. She is originally from the Philippines and graduated from St. Louis University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce where she majored in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management. Felisa moved to Cayman from Maryland where she worked as an Accountant and a Tax Preparer for a small accounting firm for over 5 years.
Felisa spends her spare time enjoying the island with family and friends.
Assistant Vice President
Mark joined Global Captive Management Ltd as an Account Executive in June 2016, having previously worked with KPMG in the Cayman Islands as an Audit Senior and then Assistant Manager in the Captive Insurance and Enterprise division.
Mark Manages a portfolio of clients including single parent and group captives in various industries from construction, fast food franchises, healthcare systems, surety bonds and reinsurance of local and municipal self-insurance pools.
Originally from South Africa, Mark graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Finance and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management. Thereafter, Mark graduated from the University of South Africa with a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting.
Mark is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, having qualified with Mazars in 2014.
Outside of work, Mark is a keen golfer and enjoys playing the guitar.
Assistant Vice President
Andrew joined Global Captive Management Ltd. in November 2016 as an Account Executive, having previously worked for KPMG in both the Cayman Islands and New York. Andrew has worked primarily in the Alternative Investments industry, having performed statutory financial statement audits of both hedge funds and private equity funds.
Born in the Cayman Islands, Andrew attended the University of Notre Dame where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration as well as a Master’s degree in Accounting. He attained his CPA license in 2011 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
Andrew is an accomplished swimmer, having represented the Cayman Islands at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
Simranjit joined Global Captive Management Ltd as an Account Executive in May 2018.
Originally from India, Simranjit began his career by earning a Bachelor’s Honorable degree in Commerce from Delhi University in 2011 and joining KPMG Delhi as an Audit Associate.
He is a member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, having qualified in 2014 with the KPMG scholarship. He also leads a team of Audit Assistants and Executives who handle audit portfolios of Insurance companies.
Simranjit moved to KPMG in the Cayman Islands in 2015 as a Supervisor and was promoted to Assistant Manager. He has worked on variety of portfolios spanning from law firms and government entities to local auto and health insurance companies; however, his expertise sets in Captive Insurance Industry which includes Group Captive Insurance, Segregated Portfolios, and reinsurance companies. Simranjit is also a member of Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants, mentors aspiring Accountants, and serves as a teacher, guide, and counselor to university and school students of the Cayman Islands.
In his free time, Simranjit loves watching and playing various sports, including cricket, badminton, and billiard. He’s also a key observer and follower of world economics and politics. His life motto is to share at least 10 percent of his time and income for the betterment of other people.
Kerry graduated from the University of Technology, Jamaica in 2010, where he achieved a Bachelor of Business Administration with First Class Honors in Accounting and International Business.
Kerry was subsequently recruited by PwC Jamaica where he articled while providing assurance services to clients — mainly in Banking and Capital Markets, and Shipping and Logistics.
In 2014, Kerry completed his professional accountancy exams and was admitted to the membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2015 and awarded Fellowship in 2020, having satisfied all the requirements of the Association.
Kerry is also an experienced Internal Auditor and served the National Health Fund, Jamaica in that capacity before relocating to PwC in the Cayman Islands in late 2015.
With PwC in the Cayman Islands, Kerry gained invaluable experience in Alternative Investments and continued to service clients in the Banking industry.
Kerry is a devoted cricketer in his spare time and represents several local clubs in the Cayman Islands. He is also a fan of Manchester United FC.
Carien joined Global Captive Management in March 2021 as an Account Executive.
Carien attended the University of Johannesburg in South Africa, where she received her Bachelors and Honors degrees in Chartered Accounting, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant South Africa in 2010. She has experience working for global audit and fund administrator firms, managing the audits and fund operations of global hedge, and private equity funds. She is a member of the Association of Certified Anti-money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), serves on the executive committee of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants’ Cayman Islands chapter and is also a member of the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants.
Carien is a keen athlete and has won national titles for both Track and Field in South Africa and Road Cycling in the Cayman Islands and has represented South Africa at international level for field hockey umpiring and youth development. Carien spends her free time volunteering for various organizations throughout the Cayman Islands, and is very passionate about improving the lives of individuals with disabilities. She is a member of the National Council for People with Disabilities in the Cayman Islands and serves on a number of non-profit boards.
She spends her free time with her family and friends, enjoying all that life in Grand Cayman has to offer.
Sanchia joined the GCM team as an Account Executive in July 2021, having worked with KPMG in the Cayman Islands initially as an Audit Supervisor and then as an Assistant Manager in the Insurance group. Sanchia has also worked at PwC in Barbados as an Audit Senior in the Financial Services Department where she gained valuable exposures to the captive and commercial insurance industries.
Originally from Barbados, Sanchia graduated from the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus) with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados, having qualified with the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA) in 2018, before moving to the Cayman Islands in 2019.
In her free time, Sanchia loves to read, listen to music and travel – she has a personal aspiration to travel to 35 countries by the age of 35!
Annie joined Global Captive Management Ltd as an Account Executive in July 2021.
Originally from England, Annie graduated from University College London in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. Annie is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, having qualified in 2018. Annie moved to Cayman to begin her career in the captive insurance industry from London where she worked as an Accountant in a mid-size accountancy firm for over 5 years.
Outside of work Annie is a keen runner and an avid skier, having completed a Ski Season in the French Alps in 2015.
Sarah joined Global Captive Management Ltd. in September 2021, having previously worked as an accountant in the Cayman Captive Industry for 8 plus years.
Born and raised in Ireland, Sarah graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland, having qualified with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in 2011.
Outside work Sarah is an avid foodie, yogi and concert goer. Her biggest passion in life is travel, having backpacked over 40 countries, Sarah looks forward to the day she can bring her children travelling the globe with her.
Jayfel joined Global Captive Management Ltd as an Account Executive in April 2022, having previously worked in the accounts team of a healthcare facility and construction/rental company.
Originally from the Philippines, Jayfel graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy in 2015 and obtained his CPA certification in the same year. He moved to Cayman in December 2018 having worked in the funds industry in the Philippines for three years.
Outside of work, Jayfel enjoys reading, binge-watching and tries to chase Cayman sunset as it never ceases to amaze him.
Julian joined Global Captive Management Ltd as an Account Executive in April 2022 having previously worked as an account manager in the Bermuda Captive Industry for over four years. He assisted and managed large portfolios of captive insurance companies, commercial reinsurers, rent-a-captive and segregated cells.
Julian is a Certified Public Accountant of the University of Medellin, Colombia, and a member of the Central board of public accountants in Colombia. He has a Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Tax Law from the Javeriana University of Bogotá, Colombia.
Outside of work, Julian is a keen footballer and likes to learn different languages. As well as being fluent in Spanish, he is currently learning French and would one day like to speak Italian when the chance arises.
Junior Account Executive
Charmaine joined Global Captive Management Ltd. as an Account Assistant in September 2005 and was promoted to her current position as a Junior Account Executive.
Charmaine is a citizen of the Cayman Islands and Jamaica. Charmaine earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration from the International College of the Cayman Islands.
When she’s not at work, Charmaine enjoys helping out at her home church with various projects.
Executive Account Assistant
Bridget Thompson joined Global Captive Management Ltd. in 1986 as a Secretary after previously working in the Cayman Islands Insurance Department. Over the years, she has advanced to Executive Account Assistant.
Bridget graduated from the International College of the Cayman Islands with an Associate’s Degree in Accounts, Associates Degree in Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
She is originally from Cayman Brac and moved to Grand Cayman when she was 17. During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her granddaughter and family or having dinner with friends. She also enjoys her garden with her many Orchids. As her way of giving back to the community, she assists in the Back-to-School Supplies Giveaway during the summer and assists in the Senior Citizen Christmas luncheon.
